This Is the Real Deal! Full Hair Loss Routine Revealed Clippers, Shampoo, and Treatment Explained #2

The Hair Loss Routine That Worked for Me Treatment, Clippers, and Shampoo!
From scalp treatments to shampoos and self-haircuts here’s my personal routine that actually made a difference

Hair loss is a reality many of us face. Constantly checking the mirror, worrying about thinning areas, and testing out every product that promises results it’s exhausting. I’ve been there, and I’m still walking the path. That’s why I decided to share the routine that actually worked for me, after months of trial, error, and real progress.

In this post, I’ll break down the treatment I use (Minoxidil 5%), my favorite self-haircut clipper, and the two shampoos I rely on, along with prices and how I use each of them in daily life.

Step 1: Hair Loss Treatment My Routine with Mymonic 5%

I currently use Mymonic 5%, a topical hair loss treatment by TheU Pharma. It contains 5% Minoxidil and is available in Korean pharmacies for around ₩50,000 (about $38).

I’ve tried other products, but Mymonic 5% suits my scalp best. It caused minimal irritation and significantly reduced hair shedding after 2–3 months of consistent use.

💡 My Daily Application Routine

Morning

  • After waking up: shake the bottle well → apply directly to crown and frontal area
    Evening

  • Before bed: shake again → apply to the same areas

Pro tip: Instead of applying with your hands, use the dropper directly on the scalp. It ensures better absorption and minimizes waste.

Step 2: My Favorite Hair Clipper for Easy Maintenance

As someone dealing with hair loss, even going to the barber felt uncomfortable. So I opted for a DIY haircut routine using an electric clipper commonly called “barikgang” in Korea.

I use the BION SBC-401 clipper, which costs ₩24,900 (around $19). It’s not a premium model, but it’s incredibly efficient, quiet, and beginner-friendly perfect for stress-free hair management.

🔧 Quick Review

Pros:

  • Lightweight, easy to control

  • Long battery life and low noise

  • Excellent value for the price

Cons:

  • Not suitable for detailed styling

Keeping my hair short helped me not only manage the visual aspect of thinning but also made treatment application much easier.

Step 3: Shampoo Strategy Two Products I Rotate

Shampooing isn’t just for cleaning it’s a foundation for scalp health and treatment support. I alternate between two types of shampoo, each serving a different purpose.

🧴 1. Pharmacy Hair Loss Shampoo (Twice a Week)

This low-irritant shampoo is often recommended by dermatologists. It helps calm the scalp and control excess oil production.

🧴 2. Active B7 Biotin + Beer Yeast Shampoo (Five Times a Week)

Packed with biotin and beer yeast, this shampoo strengthens the roots and helps reduce flaking. It also smells great and gives my hair a fuller, stronger feel.

🛁 My Shampoo Routine

  1. Before showering, wet hair slightly and apply shampoo

  2. Massage with fingertips (not nails) for around 1 minute

  3. Proceed with brushing teeth, face wash, and body wash

  4. Finish by rinsing the shampoo thoroughly from the scalp

This method ensures the shampoo stays on your scalp long enough to be effective, while minimizing dripping or discomfort during the shower.

The Real Challenge: Consistency

The biggest challenge in any hair loss routine? Staying consistent.

It’s easy to forget treatments. Shampooing gets tedious. Self-haircuts are often postponed.
So here’s how I stay on track:

  • I set alarms to remind me to apply treatment

  • I schedule specific days for each shampoo

  • I take before-and-after photos to visualize progress

These small systems helped me stick to the routine and that made all the difference.

Real Results: What I Noticed After 5 Months

After sticking to this routine for around 5 months, here’s what I’ve experienced:

  • Noticeably reduced hair shedding

  • Improved crown density

  • Less itchiness and flaking on the scalp

While I wouldn’t call my hair "fully restored" yet, the visible improvement has kept me motivated. The saying “hair loss management is a marathon, not a sprint” couldn’t be more accurate.

Final Thoughts There Is No One Answer, But You Can Find Your Answer

This post isn’t sponsored. It’s not based on theory. Everything I’ve shared comes from real use, real failure, and real progress.

There’s no single answer to curing hair loss but there is an answer that works for you. I hope this post helps you get a little closer to discovering it.

What’s your hair loss routine? Feel free to share your experience in the comments.

Let’s beat this together one step at a time.
